JBI Products located in Beresford South Dakota started making bins out of necessity!

Having horses for over 20 years and feeding bagged feed we had always tried different ways of storing our feed for our horses and our other animals.

We tried the big garbage cans but they only held 2-3 bags and having to scrape the bottom of the can to make sure we used all the feed before we added the new feed was a challenge. If we left the feed in the bags, inevitably the bag would tear or tip, or moisture would get thru to the feed and it’d spoil.

But the worst of it was those bags were like magnets for mice!!

Bottom line is the feed needed to be in a rodent, weatherproof container off the ground. Easy to fill, easy to dispense the product and be able to rotate the feed so you never have to worry about the old feed.

Space was always a problem too and since we only had 6-8 horses at a time, a big bulk bin like the ranchers use didn’t make sense but the idea of it was similar to what we wanted … so we went to work and designed the JBINZ.

It turned out to be a product that can be used in many different markets. Anything that flows and is in a bag, this is the bin for it.
